Acknowledgements
When I decided to write my thesis on the EU language regime, I must say that I was not quite familiar with the subject. There were so many aspects that I needed to analyse and so many sources to consult.
Nevertheless, I am glad to say that I have had great help during the research of my thesis, with the result of an author well-informed. Therefore, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved: my first supervisor, Wim Jansen of the University of Amsterdam, whose patience, guidance and support has helped me enormously throughout every stage of research and writing. Wim Zonneveld, for bearing with me. István Ertl from the auditor’s office in Luxembourg, for sharing your knowledge and helping me whenever needed. Astrid and Andrew Baxter of Baxter Communications, for brainstorming with me. Wil van Ganswijk, for the information I needed. Gerard W. Leppers, for suggesting the above subject for my thesis. Gertjan Leppers, for being there. Thank you.
